Best of the Bay, Rams Premiere and more.....

It has been an incredibly busy few months and I can attempt to condense it down to a blog format.  For starters we at the IDSA SF did our now annual exhibition during SF Design Week.  Best of the Bay was a great success that saw exhibits from our friends at Google, Whipsaw, Crave, level, fuseproject, Astro, IDEO, Pax, Square and Foldhaus.  Whew, I think I have them all down.  Some of the highlights of the show included the Willow Breast Pump that IDEO worked on, along with their voting booth for L.A.  Among the many pieces of great work included by fuseproject, Snoo was a touching product for swaddling infants.  The translating capabilities of the Google Pixelbuds are astounding and it was a pleasure to have them there.  

Coming up on June 27th are the Core 77 Design Awards.  I should be there so come down and enjoy, complain whatever about stuff that was chosen.  One of the most exciting things coming up is the premiere of Rams in October.  This is a new documentary by Gary Hestwit, known for his prior work including Helvetica and Objectified.  The chosen location is the Castro Theater and I am looking forward to this, it should be a great night.
